A person's eyes are terribly terribly revealing, and its amazing how what they reveal. I was looking into a friends eyes, and suddenly a ethereal super awareness hit me. The eyes became not just an organ but more; a biological work of art. I was suddenly aware of how beautifully complex and intricate the colored texture that the iris has. It was a almost marble green but flecked with bits of grey and black on a miniscule scale (so small that if you didnt look hard it was imperceptible).  Each bit of color swirled and twisted and interconnected till the whole iris was defined, but the tapestry didnt end there. It kept swirling and twisting within itself, pulsating with a randomness that somehow conveyed how alive it was. And somehow amidst all this energy and movement, comes the ability to reflect emotions and feelings simply by contracting or widening.  I was happening to give a complement when i saw them shine and widen at the same time. The effect was much like watching sunlight sparkle off crystal blue water and it was so beautiful I was almost breathless.  It was happiness personified. It was pure energy that was alive and carefree, a spinning whirling cornicopia of joyness. It giggled like a four year old being tickled, yet beamed with the intensity of the first summer day in june. It was a vivid collection of colours and sounds that surrounded and encapsulated me. And all this reflected on God's miniscule tapestry that is the eye.
Then the moment passed and i was back into my normal mode of perception and everything was dull and uninteresting. Yet i was blessed with the memory of what i had just seen and it is now that i write it here for me to remember :
Eyes truly are the window into the soul, and they are truly the only universally beautiful things in this world.
